Renewal Requirements > Appraisal License Renewal Requirements

Individuals who maintain a broker, certified or general appraisers license from the state of Pennsylvania are required to renew their license based on requirements set forth by the Pennsylvania Real Estate Commission.

The current Appraisal license renewal deadline is June 30, 2015. All Broker, Certified, and General Appraisers must complete 28 hours of continuing education by that date.

Nine (9) hours of the twenty-eight (28) hours are required and broken down as follows: seven (7) hours of the National Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice and two (2) hours of the Pennsylvania Appraisal Statutes & Regulations. The remaining continuing education hours (19) can be completed from accredited elective courses.

The Association of REALTORS® School (ARS) offers a comprehensive selection of classroom courses to fulfill these requirements.

If you have questions about the requirements for renewing an PA appraisal license, please contact Gail Parke at gparke@suburbanwestrealtors.com or call 610-560-4900.
